Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Centre for the Resolution of Emergency Situations (CRES) , Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban, is the president of the special case committee meeting No.3/2011 on 14 June 2011. He reported to the committee that the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) acknowledges the new 10 charges as the specification of criminal cases:




  1. Offence committed under the Computer-related Crime Act B.E.2550 (2007);
  2. Offence committed under the Foreign Business Act B.E.2542 (A.D.1999);
  3. Offence committed under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act B.E.2551 (A.D.2008);
  4. Offence committed under the Mining Act B.E.2510 (A.D.1967);
  5. Offence committed under the Financial Institution Act B.E.2551 (A.D.2008);
  6. Offence committed under the Cosmetics Act B.E.2535 (A.D.1992);
  7. Offence committed under the Hazardous Materials Act B.E.2535 (A.D.1992);
  8. Offence committed under the Medicine Act B.E.2510 (A.D.1967);
  9. Offence committed under the Food Act B.E.2522 (A.D.1979);
  10. Offence committed under the Criminal Code only the offence against the security within the Kingdom, terrorism case and offence about passport


Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban assigned DSI, National Police, Office of the Attorney General, and Office of the Council of State to organise the meeting to consider the new laws and report to the Special Investigate Committee in the next meeting.

Moreover, the Special Investigate Committee has the resolution as the special cases on the crimes of transferring the property or concealing the source of the property by British nationality under the Laundering Act B.E. 2542 and other relevant regulations which the cost the damages are more than 200 million baht. These charges are the cooperation between the British government and The Thai Department of Special Investigation.

The special cases means the criminal cases defined in the Annex of the Special Investigation Act B.E. 2547, amended by B.E.2551 or the ministerial regulation by the recommendation of the of Special Case's Committee.
